The Ark: Where memoirs become living heirlooms, your family's memories are immortalized, and ageing is celebrated

Your Memories

We all have legacy stories that we ought to share.

If you are over the age of 50 this is definitely true for you.

If you are at least age 50, you may have both life experience(s) and the capacity to still tap into your memory to tell those stories that only you can tell:

Stories and life lessons from parents,  grandparents, teachers, and others.

Stories and life lessons from your own lived experiences for the benefit of your future generations and others.

Your Legacy

Even if you can’t think of a story that you feel is worthy of sharing, just sit quietly with Brainard’s phrase “I remember” and note what comes up for you.

We will collaborate on the story(s) that your gut demands to be told to your children, grandchildren, and others.

These will be your stories, and no one knows them better than you do.

Remember that you will always be the expert of your life.

This memoir will therefore be from your perspective!

Your Choice

You choose the stories to tell.

You choose the people, places, and life lessons to include.

You choose the pictures to be included.

You choose the perspective(s) to be taken.

You choose the feelings, thoughts, and reflections.

You choose the scene setting.

In general, you sign off on the final project.

1. Read Through the above agreement carefully.

2. On the first digital copy, check that all names and details are correct and have been spelt correctly.

3. Read and highlight any ambiguous or misleading language, any choice of words that makes you uncomfortable, or the use of language that is just not you.

4. In general, check that all the information is what you have agreed to and that the tone and tenor of the memoir are what you expected, before signing off.

As I close,

"Think of all the years passed by in which you said to yourself "I'll do it tomorrow," and how the gods have again and again granted you periods of the grace of which you have not availed yourself... It is time that you know that a limit has been set to your time. Use every moment wisely... or 'twill be gone and nevermore within your reach." Marcus Aurelius.

Let's collaborate and get this done: There is a time limit that is relevant to all of us.
